I have more than 15 years professional IT experience, started even before (when I were secondary school student) as freelance software developer, network and system administrator, self-employed, etc. I have more than 10 years experience working for big enterprises and multi-national companies even for the biggest ones (such as HVB-HebrosBank, Siemens and IBM). Currently I am full-time employed as Storage Brand Manager at IBM Systems and Technology Group (STG) (a part of the Big Blue Giant). I am also a Linux and Open Source consultant inside my company – IBM Bulgaria. I worked for IBM Global Services for three years before joining IBM STG. Working for IBM is really amazing – especially the company and the team around me.
I am an author of many publications in specialized IT press (PC World, Personal Computer World, ComputerWorld) and I currently have my own commentary rubric in BusinessWeek Bulgaria. I had been editor-in-chief of Bulgarian magazine Linux. I have broad knowledge gained from the development of sucessful projects involving web services, very large scale network applications, entertainment systems, enterprise solutions, databases, monitoring and managment of complex infrastructure, security consulting, multiplatform solutions, high-availability, business continuity and resilience, etc.
I have a M. Sc. Graduate Degree of Telecommunications Engineering.
I prefer using Linux and other open technologies than proprietary ones but I pefectly know both worlds and usually implement hybrid solutions.

I work from my home office in the heart of Bulgaria – our capital Sofia – or from the Bulgarian office of IBM. It is not unusual to travel all around Europe engaged in some IBM project. If you need to hire me, it is under the terms of my standard contract with IBM i.e. most of the services provided by me you should buy from there. I can do some consultancy work independently only if the task or the project is not in the scope of interest of my company and I’ve recieved permission for that. Well, I will not need such if you want me as a photographer for example. Consulting agreement must be signed before commencement of any work. I am also usually happy to sign additional NDAs and contracts as provided by my customers.
I usually work for several non-for-profit projects (I’m actually a founder of some of them) such as Open Projects Foundation, Free Software Association – Bulgaria, Bulgarian Open-Culture Network, etc. Well, it is not too hard to have me working for such project without a penny. Regardless of this I am a businessman and I will never work without a contract, signed NDAs, letters of attorney and negotiated price.
I greatly enjoy my work and I take real pleasure in providing great value to my customers. When I were small child IT was my dream and hobby. Now IT is my life. My permanent residence is usually the Internet.
